LANDLORD Tony Rabbitts is beating the credit crunch by flogging the
cheapest meals in Britain – for a QUID!
His pub faced closure as trade dried up so Tony, 48, decided to go down
fighting by slashing prices on roasts, liver and onions, cottage pie and
lots more.
The Four Crosses Inn, in Cannock, Staffs, has been packed out ever since,
with takings up five-fold.
Tony said: “Without our £1 meals we wouldn’t be around. Most of the food
can be made for 40p each.
"They bring people in, we make money from the bar – and takings are
through the roof.”
